Dr. Andrea Leung is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who focuses on pediatric eye diseases and strabismus. She provides medical and surgical eye care to both adults and children.
Dr. Leung received her medical degree from Queen’s University. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Toronto and her fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
After six years operating at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Dr. Leung now operates at the Scarborough Health Network. She is on staff at the Hospital for Sick Children, where she is involved in training ophthalmology resident physicians. Dr. Leung holds an academic appointment as Lecturer at the University of Toronto, Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences. She is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Leung has a keen interest in international ophthalmology. She has traveled to the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Swaziland, Africa to provide medical and surgical eye care to local patients, while learning about the unique challenges that eye care providers face in other nations.
